Chelsea Olsen: Rethinking Sales in the Digital Age

How B2B Sales Is Evolving—And What You Can Do About It

Featuring Chelsea Olsen of CLOHZ on the Grit Won’t Quit Podcast

The sales world is changing fast—and if you’re still relying on outdated cold calls and email blasts, you’re missing the mark.

In a recent episode of the Grit Won’t Quit podcast, host Tom Mirabella sat down with Chelsea Olsen, founder of CLOHZ, a B2B sales training company helping modern sales teams adapt to how buyers make decisions today. With over 20 years of experience in sales and eight years running her own agency, Chelsea is a powerhouse in the world of LinkedIn strategy, social selling, and cold outreach that actually works.

In this conversation, Chelsea shares her journey, her methodology, and what today’s businesses need to do to stay relevant and close more deals.

Meet Chelsea Olsen: From Gym Sales to Founder of CLOHZ

Chelsea’s story starts in college, working her first sales job at a gym. That hustle turned into a career spanning door-to-door alarm sales, financial services, consulting, and eventually founding her own agency in 2017. CLOHZ was born from necessity—and a deep understanding that traditional sales tactics no longer cut it in today’s B2B world.

She didn’t build CLOHZ with a fancy launch. Instead, Chelsea developed her own playbook, proved its effectiveness while working in business development, and organically grew a consulting business around what worked.

What Makes CLOHZ Different from Traditional Sales Training?

While legacy sales training programs often focus on closing techniques, Chelsea’s approach is different. Her clients already know how to close. What they need is help getting in the door.

“I don’t need to tell someone how to sell when they’ve been doing it for 20 years,” Chelsea explains. “But I do need to teach them how to build a pipeline in today’s world.”

That means:

  • Fixing digital presence

  • Understanding the modern buyer’s journey

  • Using LinkedIn strategically

  • Combining cold outreach with meaningful content

And yes—cold outreach still works. But only when it’s done the right way.

The Six C’s Sales Method

Chelsea’s proprietary Six C’s Method offers a modern framework for B2B teams to drive pipeline and conversations:

  1. Clarity – Build clear messaging and profiles that speak to today’s buyer

  2. Curation – Create smart, focused prospecting lists

  3. Commenting – Engage on LinkedIn the right way to build trust and visibility

  4. Conversations – Start meaningful, buyer-led conversations—not just pitch meetings

  5. Cold Outreach – Use cold email and LinkedIn messaging effectively, without spamming

  6. Content – Share the right kind of branded content to support the buyer before they ever speak with you

“Content should come before conversations,” Chelsea says. “It’s what buyers look at when they do their own research—and your digital presence needs to reflect what you do, clearly and confidently.”

Why LinkedIn Still Reigns Supreme

One of Chelsea’s key platforms is LinkedIn—and not for vanity metrics. While many users chase virality, Chelsea teaches her clients to focus on content that supports their sales goals and speaks directly to their buyers. That means case studies, educational posts, and messaging that lives on both personal and business pages.

“You don’t need to go viral. You need to be valuable,” she emphasizes.

What’s Next for CLOHZ?

Chelsea’s mission is expanding. While she still works closely with B2B sales teams—typically in companies with 50+ employees—she’s also growing a free community on School for individuals and solopreneurs. Her goal? To give everyday sellers the tools, frameworks, and confidence to start and scale their outreach.

As AI continues to shift the sales landscape, Chelsea is focused on automation, sustainability, and helping small teams and startups build strong foundations early.

Final Thoughts: Sales Is Changing—Are You?

In a world where buyers are more informed, distracted, and overwhelmed than ever, old-school sales tactics don’t work. Chelsea Olsen and CLOHZ are proving that modern sales requires clarity, strategy, and authenticity.

Whether you’re part of a large B2B sales team or just getting started as a solopreneur, there’s a clear takeaway from this episode: sales success starts long before the first call.
