Daniela Reiner: From Corporate Life to Coaching with Purpose

From Corporate Life to Coaching with Purpose: Daniela Reiner’s Journey

In a recent episode of Grit Won’t Quit, host Tom Mirabella sat down with Daniela Reiner, founder of Ironbound Coaching, LLC, to dive into her incredible journey from the structure of corporate America to the dynamic world of entrepreneurship. For Daniela, this career pivot wasn’t just about changing jobs — it was about embracing discomfort, pursuing a calling, and building a life filled with purpose.

Taking the Leap: From Comfortable to Courageous

Three years ago, Daniela found herself in a situation many working professionals can relate to: balancing a demanding career, motherhood, and personal aspirations, but feeling spread thin and unfulfilled. Despite being raised in a family of entrepreneurs — her father a mason, her mother a housekeeper, and her sister a business owner — Daniela initially believed she was better suited for the steady, structured world of corporate work.

It wasn’t until after the birth of her second daughter that she realized something needed to change. Feeling as though she wasn’t giving her best to any part of her life, Daniela sought the support of a life coach. That decision ignited a new vision for her future. With encouragement from her husband and a growing awareness of the impact she could have on others, she decided to leave behind the corporate safety net and pursue her true passion: coaching.

Building Ironbound Coaching

Starting her business, Ironbound Coaching, came with its fair share of nerves and uncertainty. As Daniela shared on the podcast, entrepreneurship didn’t come with a built-in blueprint like the corporate ladder often does. But she embraced the challenge, driven by the belief that helping others find clarity and confidence was her calling.

Today, Daniela primarily works one-on-one with clients, particularly working moms, guiding them through career transitions, leadership development, and personal growth. Her coaching style is rooted in deep, personal connection — helping clients uncover what’s on their heart and take meaningful action toward their goals.

Most of her clients come through referrals — a testament to the lasting impact she has on the people she works with. Daniela also shares her story and insights on LinkedIn and Instagram and attends local networking events, stepping out of her comfort zone to expand her reach.

Why Networking and Community Matter

Throughout their conversation, Daniela and Tom emphasized the importance of building a community as an entrepreneur. Leaving the corporate world can feel isolating, and entrepreneurs often find themselves navigating challenges without a built-in support system. Networking events, coaching, and surrounding yourself with like-minded people are crucial for growth and resilience.

Daniela shared how organizations like the Monmouth Regional Chamber of Commerce and Babes in Business have played a role in expanding her network and building meaningful connections. By focusing on learning about others rather than just promoting herself, Daniela has found authentic ways to grow her business and make a positive impact.

Looking Ahead: Expanding Her Mission

While Daniela loves the intimacy of one-on-one coaching, she’s excited to expand into group coaching in the future. She also plans to increase her visibility by participating in more podcasts, speaking engagements, and webinars. Her message is clear: stepping outside your comfort zone isn’t easy, but it’s where real growth happens.

In fact, she’s launching a free challenge designed to help participants dive into their goals and desires and start taking action — an opportunity for anyone ready to move from “what if” to “what’s next.”

Final Words of Advice

For anyone considering a leap into entrepreneurship or a major career change, Daniela offers powerful advice:
If it’s on your heart, it’s meant for you.

You don’t need all the answers upfront. You don’t have to do it perfectly. Just start. Seek support, stay connected, and be willing to reframe fear as part of the process.
